The Language
by Rosyne Club

A cut, a volume, a material: Rosyne Club is creating its own language of clothing.

A garment begins with a material, a cut, and the way it occupies space.

01

Kanvô

A traditional Beninese handwoven fabric.

Kanvô is handwoven in Benin, particularly by artisans from the Abomey region. Made in strips that are then assembled, it retains the slight variations in tension, texture, and alignment characteristic of handweaving.

The material does not come after the cut.

It directly contributes to the volume, drape, and construction of the garment.

The cauri

Cauri is one of the symbols running through the Rosyne Club universe.

Present for a long time in several West African cultures, it refers to value, exchange, and transmission.
