Before arriving at your place: behind the doors of our workshop in Cotonou
Share
Before arriving in a Rosyne Club store in Cotonou, Paris, Montpellier, or Abidjan, each garment begins its story elsewhere.
In our workshop in Cotonou, Benin.
This is where ideas take shape. This is where fabrics are selected, prototypes are developed, and collections gradually come to life.
When you discover a finished piece, it’s easy to see only the final result.
A shirt.
A jacket.
A pair of pants.
Yet behind each creation lie weeks of reflection, work, and adjustments.
Each Rosyne Club garment follows a unique journey before being worn.

Everything starts with an idea.
Sometimes a sketch.
Sometimes a material.
Sometimes simply a desire for volume, a cut, or a detail we want to explore.
This idea is then developed within the workshop, where several skills come together to bring it to life.
The fabrics are prepared.
The different pieces are cut.
The first prototypes are assembled.
Then come the fittings.
A sleeve is shortened.
A pocket is moved.
A volume is reworked.
A finish is improved.
Some creations require several versions before reaching the desired balance.
Because at Rosyne Club, a piece is never considered finished simply because it is made.
It must first find its right form.
Our workshop is also a place for exchange and creation.

Jamal regularly works there alongside the teams to develop future collections.
Discussions focus on materials, cuts, proportions, and details that will give identity to the next pieces.
An idea becomes a prototype.
The prototype becomes a garment.
Then the garment continues to evolve until the desired result is achieved.
Materials play an essential role in this process.
Some of the fabrics used by Rosyne Club are selected in Benin, notably from artisans who preserve skills passed down through several generations.
Among them is the Beninese Kanvô, an iconic fabric whose weaving is part of the country’s cultural heritage.
Each material has its own story.
Our role is to give it a new life through clothing.
Once finished, the creations leave the workshop to join our stores in Cotonou, Paris, Montpellier, and Abidjan, or to be shipped to other destinations around the world.

But whatever their final destination, they all started in the same place.
In this workshop in Cotonou where, every day, women and men imagine, make, adjust, and perfect the Rosyne Club collections.
Because before arriving in your wardrobe, each creation first passes through the hands of those who brought it to life.
And this is probably where its true story begins.
